06 TJ Build

Is that a megaphone under the hood or a siren? If it's a megaphone you totally stole my idea, LOL!

You'll love the Novak shifter. That's an awesome and cheap mod that totally transforms the feel of shifting into 4WD! No more notchiness.

It's a megaphone in reality, just hooked up on a PA switch from the CB. And I'm excited to install the cable shifter. I've heard a lot about it.

I made a bracket for my light bar and added hooks to the front.

This Wednesday I am finally clearing the garage of new parts and putting them on:
-3" lift (remove and sell 2" budget boost)
-Novak Cable Shifter
-extended breather lines
-SYE and Tom Woods driveshaft
-JKS quicker disconnects
-rockcrawler extended rear sway bar links
-replacement 4WD switch
-New sway bar bushings

I'll hopefully get the chrome wheels painted black as well because I'm tired of the chrome and some rust is showing up.

Today is the big day. I'm heading to a friend's shop to power out the installs together over two days. As previously stated here are the installs and mods:

-3" suspension lift. Removal of the PO's 2" budget boost

-Advanced Adapters SYE and Tom Woods driveshaft

-Novak Cable shifter for t-case

-JKS quicker disconnects

-Moog sway bar bushings

-Rockcrawler extended rear sway bar links

-Breather line extension

-Replacement 4WD switch

-Paint chrome wheels black

New addition to list:
-Thrush Welded turbo muffler. My uncle bought it and said I could have it. I'd never turn away free parts. We'll see how it sounds.

Hopefully the availability of air tools, a lift, and multiple hands on the project will help it all move along nicely.

Now for the future project ideas;
One thing I started doing a while ago was creating a jeep notebook along with a "build binder". The binder is just picture progress of the jeep, but more importantly the notebook. It holds all of the projects I've completed with dates of install, all info about my jeep such as gear ratios and engine specs, and future projects. There are five divided sections, but those are the main ones I focus on.

I counted and I have 60 project ideas that haven't been started or completed.
Here are some I will be researching and hoping to do within the year before moving on to more:
-Extended brake lines
-Starter kill switch (15 min mod)
-Uprgade all hardware to 8 grade or 9 grade
-Undercoat/ rustproof frame and underbody
-adjustable track bar, front & rear
-heavy duty tie rod
-Steering Stabilizer
-Small body lift for tummy tuck skid
-Dodge Durango power steering swap
-On board air
-Currently searching for axle upgrades locally
-Lockers & regear (after new axle)
-Chromoly axles
-New winch fairlead
-Reinforced roll bar (weld support bars in)
-Radiator skid plate
-Oil pan skid plate
-Humvee style snorkel (homemade)
-Locking gas cap (peace of mind)
-GM fuel overflow fix
-Underseat lockbox

Those are the ones I am going to focus on for now even though there are plenty of other ideas I have. But it is a jeep build, so none of this will really get done when planned.

Your list is only 1/8 the size of mine, haha! Proof that it really never does end. The list will get longer before it ever gets shorter, this much I assure you.
