1997 "beater bomb"

Been there, done that. One of the reasons I hate dealing with car dealerships. I always prefer a private sale when possible.

That's too much.

I paid $19,500 for my 2005 Rubicon which was 100% rust free and had 70k miles.

However, it's a Rubicon, so obviously it's worth about 3k more (on average, at least in these parts) than a standard TJ / LJ.

My buddy just paid $16k for an 05 TJ Sport with low miles (<70k), one owner, Texas vehicle.

Super nice.

I still like my 06 LJ Rubi for under $16k [emoji12]

This weekends adventure, a smashed fender, trashed a new wheel, broke a lockout. .. almost rolled it 3 different times.

removing all the spring perches really sucked.
Since I've stretched it so far I came up up with the crazy idea ( I'm also a tight ass) to use the the rear crossmember bolts for my upper coil location. So they will be inboarded.

That should be interesting. Where do you come up with these ideas? Just experimenting, or is there an actual need / issue you're running into when off roading?

Just ideas. But I was climbing some massive ledges last week and my front leaf mounts were hanging up. I should of inboarded the leafs.

Yeah, that might be a decent idea.

Can't blame you for experimenting. You may just end up with something that really works!

Well I managed to destroy 2 driveshafts in the last month.
And my crossmember.
Bought a whole complete body from a 2001 sahara. So a nice clean body swap is in progess.

So weird to see it without the tub... Almost looks cool that way!
If I wasn't going to daily it am fix the stuff I skipped it would be getting a buggy cage.

I know, I was about to say... A buggy cage would be awesome!

Of course a TJ is still awesome as it is :D

No real progress. Bought a tub. Then got lazy and sold it. My tub is sitting in a buddies field, frame is still getting a crossmember put in.

For some reason I thought you had sold the Jeep. I'm not sure why I thought that, but obviously I was wrong!
