Now I'm just deciding between using TREs or hiems for steering. I'm planning on using 1.5"ODx.250 for my steering and also my track bar.

I'll let @mrblaine chime in on this one, since he is undoubtedly the steering guru when it comes to these rigs.

Also need to research my rear brake calipers and see what pads I need.

Also another good one for @mrblaine since he also happens to be THE brake guy for these rigs also (he's the creator of the Black Magic Brake pad, undoubtedly the best pad out there for the TJ).

I'm sure he's going to tell you what I've read most other places, that the rear brakes don't provide that much braking power on the TJ, and therefore aren't nearly as important as the front. We'll see what he says!

I've been looking at ruff stuffs options. I will be street driving it a bit.

For some reason my hi-steer arms have been drilled to 7/8, this would make it easier to go with 1-ton TRE setup since I'll just need the inserts.

I know it's odd. Still on the fence about the whole deal, but I'm really only out time and maybe $200 so far.

I should of took the FB reviews advice. I'll just call pay pal. I've had great luck with ruff stuff. The $450 tnt truss setup is looking good

That's a huge plus. Customer service goes a LONG way these days.

I was just on Kansas City CL, saw the post from my where I got my axles was still online. So I text the guy and was able to find out that my calipers are 1979-newer 3/4 calipers.


One issue solved !

Oh also bought some 38.5x15.50x15 mickey Thompson MTZs and MT classic wheels with simulated beadlocks..... all for $200. These will be my test tires and future parade wheels & tires.

I use to daily a wicked ram changer when I was 18 with 40" boggers. It was ridiculous. 6mpg
