Hey everyone!
I have an issue that I am hoping someone has some guidance on. My entire conundrum started when my power steering pump died. I replaced the power steering pump and did not have the pulley adjusted properly - this resulted in a shredded belt. I pulled off the pump and pressed the pulley on further, then replaced the belt. I started the Jeep up and my husband told me to shut it back down because the pulley still wasn't pressed on far enough. After removing it and pressing it further and reinstalling it, the Jeep would crank but not run unless you held down the gas pedal. We stopped working on it for a week and when I went to crank it, found a dead battery. We jumped it with a jump pack and had to continue to hold the gas down for it to run. We replaced the battery due to age (7 years old) and it would no longer charge. Now, the Jeep will turn over but not crank. I have no codes and nothing looks off on the cluster. I have swapped the starter relay, cleaned the IAC, checked all connections, inspected the crankshaft position sensor (actually ordered another this morning), checked all fuses for a blown fuse and found none. I am worried that either I have fried something when using the jump pack, or I am overlooking something about when I replaced the battery. We also tried the trick of spraying starter fluid while cranking and it still did not start. Anyone have any thoughts? I miss my jeep!!!
