2005 TJ Rubicon

Hello Folks, moved from the general side when asking about this 2005 TJ Rubicon I got. It needs some love and I'm starting on it, since I bought, added 265/75-16 wheels ordered BDS 2" Lift (springs, shock, transfer case) enroute. Currently took off doors added tubes doors. Took off roof, didn't come with soft-top package so added Skymaster Fastback Top (not bad),

Online dealer pic, me adding tires, tubes, and partial soft-top install (like that it folds back) the rest open and windows will go on in the fall. It will live like this for the summer. I will add audio, and lift in the next two weeks with addition details. I will record some of the audio as the goal is to make a big improvement there, as now I like this look.

Today with roof off and doors changes with new rubber (rubs with tight turn) rides well I will say. Awaiting 2" life next week.

Skymaster Soft-top folded back, can hardly tell it's there, try to have a little weather protection.

Looks like a good platform. Given your location, recommend you check over the frame and undercarriage for any rust concerns. Use a screwdriver to press any areas of concern. Looks like a summer rider in its past life - but you never know.

Thank you! Will do, it's gonna need some love, as pretty as it looks, as I get into it... and the information shared from my general post to now, super helpful and people have been spot on!

Run's great, but an engine light popped on, my other one used to do that, never truly addressed it. Long story as that Jeep went with a relationship. This one... is fully my toy. Folks mentioned PCM mode available here, manual or auto, mine is a 6-spd.

Thank you and it's why I got the TJR 05, The look and wanted the build, 6-spd with 4.0L, with dana 44's, 4 wheel disc, killer low range for off road. It needs love, and it will be fun to do, run and make improvements.
