2006 TJ 4.0 loses power when accelerating until engine is warmed up

Hey guys,
I am having an issue that randomly popped up yesterday and now is consistently happening. 2006 Wrangler LJ

When I first turn my car on and start driving, during a acceleration my engine will suddenly lose power. The engine is not warmed up yet to normal operating temperature and still “cold”. I have to put it in park and restart the engine in the middle of the road. I also noticed my speedometer was jumping up and down as it started to lose power and the oil pressure would rise before dropping.

The jeep runs fine once everything is warmed up. Just seems to happen right after starting before it gets up to the 210 temp.

A few months ago I was recieving a bad cat CEL, but they never came back after clearing it. I am currently getting no pending or confirmed CEL codes.

Any ideas?

Could be the coolant temp sensor. I believe that provides feedback to the PCM as to how the engine runs. Not 100% sure, but I think it does.

I watched under the hood while it warmed up later and found my negative battery terminal to be pretty corroded. Could this have been the culprit? Also, is it an indicator that it's time to get a new battery? I bought the jeep used 2 years ago and I don't know how old the battery is

It is an indicator that you need to clean your terminals.
Put a multimeter on it before and after you clean it up and see if you get a voltage increase. Check the alternator output at the alternator itself too. It shouldn't cause a problem unless you have minimal voltage in your battery and then you should notice dimming lights when you add load to the engine also.
