350 Chevy swap

Way easier to hock up then trynna wire the factory efi system more power and semi more reliable and also a 350 with a carb sounds so much better then efi for some reason

Doing a stand alone harness for the Chevy TBI isn't hard at all and there is tons of documentation about it.

Now a V-8 sound over your I-6? Yes I can understand that but I can't ever understand the thought of a carburetor on a 4X4. On a street rig sure.

BTW I have a V-8 in my TJ...

😂 prolly put the 350 in then shit would break next day

You'll break your Dana 35 about the first time you put your foot in the floor. And has been pointed out more than once even with the V-8 you'd still need to regear.

I love the 350 and respect all it has done for the automotive hobby. With that said I would never out one in a tj. It just doesn't feel right to me. Plus it kills resale value especially if it's carbureted. I vote to sell the 350 and buy a later model full injected engine like those ls engines everyone is so crazy about

Long read: https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/wildmans-tj-is-getting-a-face-lift.19356/

I've got a Dodge Magnum 5.9 in mine with a stroker kit making it a 6.7 (408). Back in 1998 the Dodge Magnum was rated at 245 HP & 330 TQ but many say it was under rated back then.
The nice thing about doing the Magnum swap is that the Dodge PCM mounts in the stock location and talks to your TJ dash. And blending the two harnesses together is only about 14 wires to do the swap. When doing the swap with a manual there is less wires that need to be blended than with the automatic. You can pick up a 02 Ram for a fair price most times.
