more of her getting her dressed. first the old pics of interior, got rid of the old grey plastic seats, found a pair of cloth ones for 50$, pressured wash them , like new. reused all the plastics that came off . lightly scotchbrite them cleaned with a degreaser and painted them with SEM INTERIOR paint, black let them dry overnight then installed

so here we are today, 12/31/2017. I think maaco did a pretty decent job painting, think she looks ok considering i am a mechanic , not a body man. i know it won't last with all the salt , snow , dirt up here. i did everything i could do to help preserve the jeep, im 60 years old, really don't want to do it again.i had ordered a hood decal. original mirrors, chrome front bumper and a few little odd and ends. but since were in the middle of snow season, i will finish it in the spring. I will take more pics as i do more. i really want the 1/2 top, we'll see . it is pretty much a basic build, 4" spring lift and 1 1/2 body lift, stock brakes and other suspension components. i don't intend to do mud bogs or rock climbing, i use it to plow and regular travel and this build fits my needs. i can appreciate the other builds with moving suspension and the wide axles and so on, the time to commit to this type of project never ends, good luck to everyone who does there own builds, i hope this might help someone out as i did it as economical and practical as possible. remember build to your needs and wants , not to what others want. thanks for your interest in my project. thanks for the comments. thanks to the wife for all the time i spent in the shop the last three months.
happy new year everyone, may all your jeep dreams come thru

Wow! That turned out great! Good job!
That's right, build it to your own needs. You've got to be happy with the outcome.
thanks a lot , and yes i am happy with it. i forgot to mention during this post, the nerf bars are new factory jeep aluminum nerf bars. i bought them on ebay from a lady that purchased a jeep and they were in the back, never installed. the best part , they were only 56.$ awesome deal. can,t find these anymore

i guess very well taken care of. sweet!!!!!!!
do you have all stock axles? i was thinking about putting a locker in the rear, this summer
We use the Jeep what's its intended for....camping, fishing, hunting, snow runs. I do try and take care of it. I got the same thing when I had my CJ-5. Since it was clean, no one thought I wheeled with it.
I do have stock axles in it, but that is going to change very soon. I have an e-locker in the rear with 4.56 gears. Added on board air due to the fact we are always airing down when we go off road.
My wife loves driving it. :)

Not sure why you would think that. Go quit a bit. Also host a Christmas tree Jeep run every Dec to go up in the snow to cut our own Christmas tree.View attachment 27924

please keep me informed about the axles, very curious, neat trailer too

Your trailer is custom made I imagine?
No, its not custom made, but I did fix it up when I bought it. Its called a "Pack Mule". They were made in the 80s in Marysville California to be towed behind a Jeep. Kinda hard to find now days, but they still pop up once in awhile on craigslist. This is what it looked like when I first bought it and brought it home.
