Adams Drive Shaft Length Question

Long story short..

Had a noise.. pinpointed it the U join in the rear of the front driveshaft where it meets the transfer case.

Going to use this as an opportunity to order a new Adams driveshaft.

Jeep has 4 inches of lift.

When I use the current measurement instructions to measure yoke to yoke I come up with 39.5". (See pics below).

Is this the same adams front driveshaft I want to order?

I assume it will have needed play 2 inches either way?

That's the correct measurement to use. Just make sure to request they use Spicer 5-1310x u-joints, not a house brand. Even when I order from my favorite DS manufacturer www.4xshaft.com I request they use Spicer instead of their house brand u-joints.

Ordered the extreme heavy duty one:

The front driveshaft features a 1310 CV Shaft with a beefy 2 inch x 0.120 thick wall and strong Spicer Solid 1310 U-joints. The kit even includes the necessary Grade 10 CV bolts, which have small heads for a simpler installation."

Make sure they're not the greasable Spicer 5-153x which is not as strong or as durable as the sealed 5-1310x.

I believe they are the solid ones cause I got the extreme heavy duty. The regular heavy duty had greasable.

These are for use up-to 37" tires.

Tho I run 35s. But wanted the extra heavy duty one. Might as well right.

I would verify the exact model number they use with them first. Descriptions can imply lots of things that are not completely accurate.
