Another body lift thread

So I have been contemplating a body lift for my 97 TJ. I have a 4 inch suspension lift already, but when I air down, I lose lift from it and I think the best and cheapest thing to do is to put on a 1 or 1.25 body lift with 1 inch motor mount lift as well. Who knows? maybe there is a tummy tuck or gas tank tuck down the road - there's always another item on the list!
My mechanic is recommending the daystar kit (KJ04508BK) that replaces everything and is poly. He is also recommending a very expensive brown dog MML (SU2572-1). Together, the quote was about 1500 installed which I thought was too high.
So, long story short, I have done a lotof research here and on other forums and almost everyone says get aluminum lifts and keep the OEM mounts. He's not too keen on it and does not work with savvy at all, which is what I would prefer after researching it. He will quote me the Rough Country mml and Teraflex body lift. These are all aluminum, so probly just fine, and the prices are comparable to savvy.
My questions are - Are these two products considered fine in place of savvy, or should I find a different shop that will put on savvy kits? Am I correct with my deduction that aluminum is superior to not only the daystar and brown dog poly or rubber, or even the BMB Delrin kit Blaine offers?

For both the body lift and motor mount lift, you want to retain the factory rubber isolation. And for both, you want a non-compressible material used for the spacer pucks. That is why the Savvy body lift is made of aluminum. The acetal body lift from Black Magic Brakes accomplishes the same goal and you don't need to worry about scratching the finish. And you can be assured that it will ship quickly and the new hardware will be correct.

Mine has a Rough Country motor mount lift that uses aluminum blocks under the factory motor mounts. It has been doing fine for the last 9 years.

Had planned to do the aluminum 1" MORE or Rokmen BL prior to the BMB kit coming out. Haven't looked at it much but I'm sure it's top shelf.

I suppose 10 hours for both at $75/hour labor is reasonable. Especially if an original bolt is stuck.

I wish I knew better when I did mine and stuck with the factory mounts and spacer. The vibes at idle weren't as noticeable before the auto swap, but were present.

The first project I did was a BL then MML. I never worked on a car before and I figured it out just fine. With that said, I did it as a start to my lift plan with Savvy tummy tuck.

BL/MML was my very first Jeep project, too. One thing leads to another!

10 hours of labor is ridiculous, just do it yourself.

It sounds scarier than it really is. If you can change a tire, you can install a BL/MML.

Follow the instructions that come with the BMB kit and ask here on the forum if any questions come up. You can do it!

Go with the BMB Delrin. You know this product is top notch, Blaine is awesome, and it will ship ASAP.

However, as far as getting a BL to alleviate the loss of lift from airing down, a BL only raises the tub. It does not lift the frame or skids. It does make room for raised skids and bigger tires.

BL and MML are two of the easiest mods for the DIYer. You are in Arizona so I'd connect with the Arizona crew here and see if someone can lend you a hand on getting this done. Even if it costs you a couple of cases of beer and a couple of meals you're saving yourself ~$650 bucks that can be put toward other mods.

I have a 1" aluminum BL (don't remember brand) and a Currie MML. No issues with either for the past 3 years.
