Hey... they can use a warrant for ID to get through TSA and buy plane tickets.... get drivers licenses.... buy houses.... apply for loans..... vote in certain cities... owning a gun seems like it would be next.
Not sure why anyone would be surprised in the overlay history and look at how things end in totalitarian regimes.
I've always found it curious that people push back at the idea that one side of the divided country doesn't want a totalitarian country in the end. Both do and usually end up fighting for it. The "it can't happen here crowd" are usually the first to get caught up in it unfortunately.
