Not just housing.... here in Phoenix there are entire hotels that have been "rented out" by the Feds to house illegals.... out by Intel in Chandler most of the hotel rooms have been booked for over a year.... this drives up the cost of hotels in the central area of Chandler by 3 to 4 times.

It had nothing to do with Cell towers shutting down or losing grid power. They are all backed up with gensets for that specific reason. To further my calling of bull shit on "tower outages" causing the problem with Verizon today, how would this idiot explain the fact that some verizon tower based cell phones worked in the exact same location as others that didn't?

Do I know what happened, nope! I do know that it was as if my phone number had been blocked or deleted from Verizon's network. I couldn't use wifi calling or get texts on my other internet based Verizon devices if they were connected to my phone number. I say this because I know for a fact that I can use WiFi calling over any internet connection normally even when there is no cellular network available.

I had to port my father's phone to my plan last Friday because the local cell provider he was with here in Idaho does not have coverage in Birmingham, AL (they buy service on Verizon's network). He's with an emergency management that will be going most likely to NC. His phone worked flawlessly all day but 3 other guys on the team from Colorado with Verizon had no service at all.
