Going off of one of the comments he made when he was talking about the Sheriff @4:48 he said, something to the effect that they are trying to make it about anything but child grooming. I suspect it's some kind of LGGTBQIA#F'nFREAKSHOW+ protest or rally... But that's just my guess I stopped watching after they switched to the guy on the side walk trying to avoid all the cameras.

Another skill that will sadly be relegated to history.

Almost everything now has an electric parking brake.

Since @98% of all vehicles don't come with manual transmission any more it's not going to make much of a difference. The skill will die out due to lack of gear jammers.

People just don't know how to cope. I had a run-away problem with the MBZ once - my mechanic failed to replace all the cir-clips in the throttle linkage when he had it apart. I had plenty of options - put it in neutral, apply the brakes, turn off the key. I got it off the road safely and had it towed - but my mechanic was flabberghasted that I "knew what to do". This makes no sense - its fucking common sense.

Taught the girls how to hold the E-brake on , not to let the car roll back as you release the clutch and E-brake.
It took a minute , but they are glad to know how .

Just taught my daughter and wife that trick a few days ago.

Almost all the new sticks have "hill assist" which uses the electric parking brake to hold the vehicle till you hit the gas.

I actually disconnected that " hill holder " on our POS 05 Forester . Subi had a valve that was cable operated from the clutch pedal to the MC . The problem was you had to drag the clutch kinda hard on every takeoff , I can drive so I didn't need the premature clutch wear.

Wife was unaccompanied in Italy for about 2 months and almost all the cars are stick.
I rode with her a few times and saw yearly clutch replacement in my future.
So, we got her an automatic, US spec Mini Cooper and I took the island beater (renault clio)
The brakes on her cooper are just about shot so she's driving the Renault while I'm back in the states for a few weeks.
I think I'm gonna have to fix TWO vehicles when I get back!
