Anybody up for a random meme dump?

Wonder if anyone ever pointed out to him that plants are living things as well. Guess it's okay to eat so long as it isn't mobile and doesn't have a face?

He likely wouldn't be here if his ancestors hadn't eaten whatever the feck they had to in order to survive. I'd imagine that frequently included animals.

When I look the animal in the eyes, it doesn't suffer long. I have honed my slaughter technique. A sharp bowie kinfe through the neck between the spinal column and the jugular followed by a quick jerk down to sever it all, then a twist of the neck to break the remaining spinal cord. See, it's quick.

Only works on small ruminants, though. I have never slaughtered a cow or a pig. Pigs are particularly scary to me as you have to hit the heart first try. I always fear a pissed off pig with a massive chest wound turning on me.

Damn, I must be doing it wrong... they're usually dead by the time I'm close enough to look them in the eye. Usually!!!
Some years ago, I had bought my (now ex) wife a rifle for her birthday, since all the rifles we had were a tad big for her, (had to buy a .243 with a youth stock), short woman, short arms kinda thing... and they had a tendency to leave pretty big bruises on her shoulder .300 short mag, 7mm mag, 12 gauge slug (for short range area hunts). So after I snuck it to the range to sight it in, I took it out when my dad and I went on "our" father son hunt. After being used to heavier caliber rifles for longer range shots, I naturally held a little high on a 440ish yard shot and severed a mule deer bucks spine right above his shoulders. After hiking down one draw up another and across the hill side he was still alive. I looked him in the eye put my 9mm to the side of his head and pop!!! The smoke coming out of his nose after the kill shot was definitely not expected... Kinda felt bad for him for a minute or two...

All in all he still tasted pretty good considering the amount of adrenaline that had to have been pumping through his body as he tried to run away with just his front legs.

GERMANTOWN MOM ARRESTED AFTER RETURNING HOME TO WHAT POLICE DESCRIBED AS "AN ACTIVE CRIME SCENE AGAINST HOUSEKEEPING"

GERMANTOWN, TN — A Germantown mother reportedly reached her absolute breaking point Tuesday evening after walking through her front door and discovering her family had somehow transformed the living room into what officers described as "the lost aisle at a Dollar General after a tornado."

According to police, 36-year-old Heather Mitchell had just wrapped up a long day at work when she arrived home around 6:30 p.m. expecting peace, quiet, and maybe five uninterrupted minutes.

Instead...

She opened the front door, stared silently for nearly ten seconds, and witnesses say "you could actually hear her last shred of patience pack its bags and leave."

Investigators say the home contained enough chaos to qualify for federal disaster relief.

Among the evidence:

• An entire family-size bag of Cheetos had been crushed into the carpet "for reasons still under investigation."

• Three pizza boxes were stacked into what the children proudly called "Fort Diabetes."

• Someone had used permanent marker to give every family photo a mustache.

• The family cat was discovered riding around the house inside a remote-controlled toy dump truck.

• And the Roomba was hopelessly tangled in Christmas lights... in July... dragging a pool noodle behind it like it had simply given up on life.

Meanwhile, Heather's husband, Derek Mitchell, was reportedly stretched out in his recliner watching fishing videos on YouTube while casually eating nachos.

When officers asked why he hadn't intervened, Derek allegedly shrugged and replied...

"Honestly... they were being pretty quiet."

That statement reportedly triggered what neighbors described as "the exact moment common sense left the building."

Heather calmly placed her purse on the floor...

Closed her eyes...

Counted to three...

Then allegedly unplugged the Wi-Fi router mid-video, causing every child in the house to scream as if civilization itself had collapsed.

Police say she then grabbed a feather duster "like William Wallace preparing for battle," chased her husband into the front yard, and loudly informed everyone that they had exactly five minutes to clean the house "or start looking for new families."

Neighbors reported hearing phrases including...

"Y'all better start picking up something besides my blood pressure!"

Officers arrived to find Heather standing in the driveway holding a flip-flop in one hand and a bottle of disinfectant spray in the other while assigning cleaning jobs to complete strangers walking their dogs.

She was briefly detained for disorderly conduct after authorities said she "displayed an alarming willingness to weaponize household cleaning products."

As deputies escorted her toward the patrol car, Heather reportedly looked at the mess inside the house, looked back at her family, and calmly stated...

"I've been gone nine hours. It looks like y'all hosted the Hunger Games sponsored by Walmart."

Derek later issued a statement saying he "thought everything looked pretty normal" and admitted he was "waiting to see if the kids would clean it up on their own."

Police confirmed the children immediately blamed each other.

The cat declined to comment but appeared extremely pleased with the dump truck.

Heather was later released and returned home, where family members say she spent the rest of the night silently cleaning while everyone else suddenly discovered they had "homework," "stomach aches," and "important appointments."

Germantown Police remind residents that while parental meltdowns are understandable, turning a flip-flop into an instrument of psychological warfare is generally discouraged.

My first vehicle was a 1976 Vega hatchback. Had that infamous aluminum block engine on it. Would you believe that I got about 500 miles to the gallon* with that car?

*That was on engine oil, not gasoline.

Not my car but close enough.

I had a '66 Bug that got about that same kind of oil mileage until I decided to finally replace the pushrod tubes and seals. 🤣

Especially when incorrectly used. Tech is not a cure for stupid.

I worked at a wharehouse years ago and the manager's daughter was a typical, textbook dumb blonde. Her husband was a salesman at a local Ford dealship. The girl came by one day with her new Explorer, all excited because it had a fancy back up camera so she could "drive more safe."

I shit you not, leaving the parking lot with her brand new SUV with the fancy back up camera, she backed into a car, smacked it firmly.

Yeah, tech actually makes stupid more stupid.
