I am generally very much a supporter of the police, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah.
HOWEVER
The one thing that gripes me about the police is that they can do no wrong. I personally know of two instances of traffic accidents caused by the police, and nothing could be done. They CLOSE RANKS fast and tight when adversity arises. An impenetrable "blue wall". That ain't right.

I fully support the police, but to say that no police reform needs to happen is foolish. Reform isn't a bad thing anyways.
I support most everyone, up until they do something criminal. There are special circumstances where we put police where Police officers are just forced to react and so often they do a great job, but I would guess there are several that are otherwise good cops that mess up. There aren't many professions where there are no mistakes and there's few professions that require the same expertise and fast actions with so limited knowledge and typically the knowledge is that they're going after someone that's either a known criminal or doing something that's a crime.
Often many police are former military and I've heard from CQB stuff the phrase "fuck up aggressive". If you think you're in a fight, that's typically the best way to live or save your partner or other civilians. I wish things were easier, but I'm surprised how well police have been since they have had to start backing off of their job and just allowing areas of complete chaos, because they're being held to a standard that takes us days to figure out in hindsight.
I think everyone would love more training for police, but it's typically harder to get into budgets and it takes officers off their beat and staffing and personnel are difficulties. The incentive structure for hiring cops is backwards. Basically they only get paid when a precinct has pretty much turned into a failure top down.
I agree. More training would be good, but I think even beyond that it might just be something as simple as bringing in people to work with the police. If 911 gets a call and there isn't a weapon involved but someone is having a full blown mental health crisis, maybe instead of the police showing up and going in first, they get a psychologist to go in first (while police wait outside nearby) to try and talk the person out of it. I've seen a lot of police footage where situations went bad because the police were treating a mentally ill person as nothing more than a criminal. That's not to say that there aren't situations like that, but often times the police tend to respond with weapons and force (again though, not always) when sometimes it may just take the right person with the right training to talk someone off a ledge.
Another situation would be routine traffic stops. Pulling someone over for driving reckless and endangering people's lives makes sense to me. What doesn't make sense is so many of the routine traffic stops they'll do for stupid crap (i.e. a light out, someone going 10 MPH over the speed limit, etc.). I think a lot of potentially bad situations could be avoided just by getting rid of these sorts of traffic stops.
I realize that for many police departments a huge source of revenue is routine traffic stops (hence why they do it). However, I also believe it may be time to find a different source of revenue. Not saying no one should be pulled over, just saying that those instances of people being pulled over should be fewer and further between.
No organization is ever going to be perfect. I do however believe that common sense police reform can be a good thing. In fact, maybe if Democrats had spoken about it this way (as oppose to labeling it as Defund the Police) they may have gotten a better response.
I'm no fan of Atheism, but I'm also WELL aware of "Creeping theocracy". With that said, MSNBC needs to BUTT OUT of people's spirituality.
I'll disagree with this one. I wish people would follow the damn speed limits. People here in Florida drive just like Californians in that regard. When I drove out here in 2017, there were a couple or three square states I drove through where the speed limits were rigorously enforced - it was HEAVEN. Everybody going 45 in a 45 zone, imagine that!
