All that because, supposedly a school resource officer overheard the kid telling some of his friends that his dad was drunk, put the kid in a choke hold and pierced his ear. The resource officer reported it to the local PD and that was the result. No investigation, no questioning the kid, just force bust their way into the home and arrest the dad...

Then the kid on the video states he wanted his dad to pierce his ear.... Someone (the local PD) is going to get sued!!!

"The arrest followed a complaint made on Thursday by a Springdale Public Schools police resource officer, police said. The resource officer reported to Tontitown police that a juvenile male had shown up at school with his left ear pierced. The officer said he overheard the boy say that his dad was drunk when he forcibly pierced his ear.

"While sitting in class talking with other students and a teacher present, the juvenile male stated his dad was drunk and put him in a choke hold and shoved the piercing in his ear," Tontitown police said in the statement.

Officers went to Sherland's home on Thursday and said the man admitted piercing his son's ear, police said, but he refused to talk to them about the piercing further."

I’m thinking a knock on the door, a can you step outside we’d like to discuss something with you… would have been a much better route towards a resolution.

If he did it against the kids will then I wouldn’t consider that a license issue but an entirely different issue.

I guess they tried that and he refused to go outside..

Now they're also charging him with resisting arrest and a couple more charges.,,
