Nah, if she’d been around it’d been her fault.
It was only one chainsaw, 3 hours away at my hunting spot, by myself and the only solution I could come up with to get it out was to go buy an axe.
I always though wedges and an axe were prerequisite when carrying/using a chainsaw...
I was supposed to be trimming small trees (2”) around a barn for the insurance company. Didn’t know I would be moving a downed tree until I got there.
I was, I had money to fix the problem
No way to put a pole underneath and lever it up?
No tools or anything useful, basically abandoned property. Was there getting my deerstand ready. Last minute I was asked to clear the trees while up there so I grabbed the chainsaw. Nothing in the old barn except an old tractor. Ace was only 15 minutes away. Wasn’t worth the hassle to fight it and the landowner ended up paying me for the axe since I cleared everything for them.
That's not prepared, that's rectifying your lack of preparedness. Nice try though.
At the time I didn’t already own an axe so I solved my problem sufficiently.
