As a tax paying American, I was greeted by the City of Phoenix to disconnect my water. I guess they misinterpreted my request to transfer service from tenant back to me as a the owner/landlord. That’s ok, after an hour on hold the nice gentlemen on the phone was quick to make the correction in the system and schedule a rep to get my water turned back on. I just got to wait 3 days since they’re so busy due to “the holiday” (what freaking holiday). I was comforted by the agent in that it’s not just me and that he has families with children and elderly in the same situation…
THIS IS MADNESS!!! We can afford to service the people paying for this circus, and we just want to add a bunch of dead weight!?!?
Anyways, just a rant, I don’t live there, but it would have been nice keeping the water service on for the carpet cleaner and handyman.
Hell no! I’d think anything that goes there never gets found again!
I'm thinking those bumps won't be enough to bridge the gap, that's likely just round 1 of several increases to be phased in so as to dull the shock to customers. It'll get worse when the board that oversees the minimum number bumps it up in the coming months/years at their discretion, I've read it'll likely inch up to $25/hr pretty quickly.
It'll also force automation. The french fry robot has already been up & running for a couple years eliminating those positions, and kiosks will be replacing cashiers quicker than they otherwise would have. I think at the end of the day the only thing Newsom's utopian wet dream will do is eliminate jobs, so once again his moves do nothing more than make a bad situation worse.
When the dust settles the bigger players will probably be the only ones left standing, reminds me of what the gubment did during Covid when they herded everyone into Home Depot but forced the mom & pop hardware stores to shut down.
Now this is why she is quitting. All y’all butts making fun of her and saying ugly things about her. If y’all would start appreciating her hotness and beauty……..
