That is... amazing. Seems like it should be the tail going up the stick? I'm gonna keep an eye out for a big coon. A big ring tail stick cover would be wild!
Now that you say that, it would be more lifelike if the squirrel's body was sitting on the console and his tail was the shift boot.
That way he could flick his tail every time you changed gear
