I don't think the digital pricing is the issue as much as combining it with cameras, digital surveilience, marketing, and all of the data collected on you.
In the movie minority report, you could see it in how the ads changed as the programs scanned retinas.
A company can pick up when your car left your home,find your face on a traffic cam,know you pulled into a parkibg lot, and correlate your searches and income to change the price of an item as you approach it. Then lower or raise it for the next person.
It's likely not an issue for the poors here. But income based pricing is creepy. And EBT pricing can be just as predatory. Raising junk food pricing for some and lowering it for wealthier people who buy more vegetables.
Then you get the commies or authoritarians in charge who use the systems to drive policy. See China for examples.
