However, I can not think of a single place I would go and order turkey anything. If my options are beef, pork, chicken and turkey it’s going to be the last choice of them every single time.

It’s fine as an accompaniment on a sandwich with one of the better meats though.

I have turkey sandwiches. But Costco chickens are about the size of a Turkey anymore. Might buy 3 or 4 and pass them off as a Turkey for Thanksgiving next year.

What in the hell do you have against Halloween?

When my kids were small, I liked Halloween. Now that they're grown and out of the house Halloween is a PITA. We have dogs, every door knock and they get excited. The kids don't even walk anymore. Parents drive them door to door. An I'm sorry, but an infant in a costume that can't eat solid food, doesn't need candy. If it were kids from my neighborhood, I'd tolerate it, but when they come in from the next town over, I'm out.

Next time you do a whole turkey start eating it and realize the outside is good and the inside gets flavorless. You can brine the hell out of it but what’s the point in that.

Steak and porkchops are hard to beat, no brine or frying needed.

never have brined one but you always inject a turkey with creole butter when frying it. If you've never had a deep fried turkey you're missing out !

now I agree with you on that. That peanut oil ain't cheap but we get 3 or 4 turkeys fried out of it.
