Anybody up for a random meme dump?

So I used to wheel with a guy, probably around 10 runs with him. One time his wife went with him. I referred to the 'americanized' tacos as 'white people tacos'. This pissed off his wife, calling me racist. I didn't apologize, and said that just how I refer to that type of taco.

Top is a 'taco', bottom 'white people taco' He 'unfriended' me on Facebook, stopped going on our runs. I still don't think the comment is racist, but wouldn't refer to them as white people tacos unless I know I'm with someone (or their wife) that isn't so easily offended.

If anything, I feel like it's complimenting the 'real' tacos.

"Unfriended on facebook". Like THAT has anything to do with the price of beans - good riddance. I used to get "paid" to dance at a high end Mexican restaurant. I usually ordered their excellent burrito - but "hold the mole' sauce.". The owner - herself a Mexican - called it a "White boy burrito." Amazingly, nobody was "offended".

Wasn't able to watch this mess - BUT - point taken. The difference between "real" and "Americanized" Greek and middle eastern food is - at times - substantial.

When my Mexican students cme up to Denver I ask if they ever try the Mexican food.

My late brother in law used to go get "real" Mexican in east Salinas - where you need a passport and an interpreter to go with you. An armed guard wouldn't be amiss either. Anyway, damn good Mexican food!

There is, or was, another place called "Rosita's" that is/was so authentic that the health department would shut it down several times a year. Damn good Mexican there too!

We had Gringaderas for dinner last night. I sent this meme to my wife. Her response was: Both are delicious!

After looking at this again, I almost got Mexican for lunch, but decided on Mediterranean figuring it's slightly more healthy? Ended up getting a Chicken Shawarma plate.

In the mid 80's, I worked with the lady (my first job when I was 15) that invented the Mexican pizza. She showed some corporate people her invention and they made it a menu item.
