I recently found out that my son has a genetic condition that will most probably preclude any military service when he gets older. Ten years ago this would have really troubled me, but given the fact that I now have to brief young airmen on the evils of "extremism" and how it's normal to have trans people serving I'm barely bummed out at all..
Our military is becoming a joke. I imagine China and Russia both are laughing.
