Ran into the bigger town (60K pop) about 35 miles away this morning. They added several traffic lights along a route I needed to cut across town....I hit every single one red. And sit and sit while no other traffic comes from the three other directions.

Couldn’t wait to GTFO back to a small town for lunch.

You’re right! I say this all the time that the people who designed the roads here must actually know what they are doing.

We used to go to Chicago every couple of months.

I remember one particular “encounter” at a museum. The urbanites were explaining to their kids how the prairie was destroyed and turned into farmland. While I (in a slightly louder voice) explained to mine that had they not “tore up the prairie” Chicago wouldn’t even be here. Now all that destructive farmland supports these “out of touch” people.
