I can't speak for the NBA or Congress but the USPS is exempt from the "Federal Mandate" for the simple fact that USPS employees are NOT Federal employees. They will however fall under OSHA's jurisdiction When/IF, OSHA attempts to require vaccinations, the USPS will be included in the "Employers with 100 or more employees" category.

Rocky, the newest addition to the family. He’s American Staffordshire Terrier and Blue Heeler. We know little of his background, he’d been neglected for sure, likely abused. Gaining his trust the last few weeks and seeing him settle in has been great. He loved traveling on our last overland and quickly learned to be a Jeep dog.

I work For a ”privately” owned company, yet I am a federal employee and also must have the jab before Dec. The USPS IS a federal organization and were exempted for reasons I do not understand. Much like congress Is exempt, why?

Edited to add that the many contractors on our site do not have to have the jab. So, what is the point?

I am a USPS Contract Route driver so I am privy to all the wonderful behind the scenes activities for the USPS.

The USPS is part of the executive branch, so it's operated by federal workers but it's an independent agency. It gets no tax money and relies on money from stamps and service fees.
Since USPS is independent, workers would not be required to get the COVID-19 vaccine under Joe's "Federal Employee Mandate". (paraphrased from the following link.
