Wow. Geears? Did you go to Moab? I cannot keep up anymore lol.
Finally got to test the Jeep on the freeway after getting the tires balanced and it drives perfect again. Back to being a comfy 1 hand on the wheel at 75mph jeep.
I also got inspired by @tworley in Moab and picked up some 2004 front seats for $100. They seem to be in great shape with some minor sun fade that will get covered by a seat cover anyways.
The 90s had a lot of great things but seats are not one of them. I sat in @pc1p ‘s seats the other day and the newer style felt much nicer to me. That trip to Moab left my wife and I pretty beat up from my current seats. I also want the newer style because caltrend has very reasonably priced seat covers for the new TJ seats only, so I will be ordering those as soon as I confirm I’m sticking with these seats. Kind of funny that I’m able to get new seats and seat covers for $150 less than Bartact seat covers alone

I like the jeep seats except mine because the driver seat is blown out. I had to get 1.5" seat spacers to be able to see over the hood, im not a short guy either
I need to try out the older seats. Didn't know till now there was a difference.
I’ve got some seat riser brackets I’ll probably put in. In the pole vault world I’m as short as they come
I have some from Amazon that came to me straight from China. They work well and we're only 55 dollars or so.
Thanks, even in Arizona seat heaters are a nice luxury. Will be fun to start working on creature comforts for a while
Haha, I said that last year, and still haven’t got around to the creature comfort stuff. A lot of it is sitting in the garage waiting for me.
Whatever brand you can find. I'm using tech carbon or something along those lines. They were 50-60 bucks. I put mine on the foam underneath the seat cover and used hog rings to keep it in place. The set I had before were under bestop seat covers and they shifted/folded quite a bit. I use mine regularly, even in the summer just to beat the chill in the early morning drives
