Baofeng / Rugged Radios Mount

I haven't looked at GMRS handhelds, but would think that if you will be using a Midland Micro Mobile that a pair of Midland GMRS HTs would be a logical choice.

I think this is the way to go, have a permanent in Jeep and couple of portables. I guess I do not see myself using them often, just few times a year.

An amateur license opens up the doors to lots of bandwidth and will make some of the features more usable and understandable.

Do you have a license? Looks like all I would need is a Technician license. Seem pretty simple to get.

My dad was kind enough to concede my Grandfathers call past him to me. It was/is an honor.

I hope someone steps up and takes it. If you can prove kinship, it is free.
