I think this is the way to go, have a permanent in Jeep and couple of portables. I guess I do not see myself using them often, just few times a year.

Do you have a license? Looks like all I would need is a Technician license. Seem pretty simple to get.
 
GF's grand dad passed last year, was avid ham radio enthusiast. He wanted to pass on his call sign, but nobody was interested.

My dad was kind enough to concede my Grandfathers call past him to me. It was/is an honor.

I hope someone steps up and takes it. If you can prove kinship, it is free.
