I had the dash torn apart on the Jeep the other day and found a black box that says bulldog security on it. You can see it pictured below. As you can see, the box and that big white plug have wires going into the ignition. When I plug that huge connector into the box, the Jeep acts as if the key is in the accessories position. Does anybody have any ideas about what this system is all about. I assume it’s a remote start system. I don’t have any kind of remote though. Thanks!

Looks like a cheap Walmart remote starter. I put one of these in an s10 I had back around 02. It was the first time I installed a remote start and I was young and dumb. It lasted a few months until it started engaging the starter anytime it felt like it.
Rip it out of there and don’t look back. Lol

That's kind of what I'm thinking. I'm just not sure if I can do that without messing anything up.

Looks like they only used scotch locks to install it. Those are pretty easy to un-do. Just follow each wire from the Bulldog box to where it connects to the factory wiring and unhook them.
That's what I was thinking about. If I just tear out the box and wiring, do you think I will be disrupting some connections though? I don't want to have a wiring problem and not being able to start the thing.

Shouldn't be any problems unless you come across a wire that's been cut, and then the box is spliced in the middle. I really don't think any of those should be that way, but if you do find any, just cut the box out and solder the original wire back together.
