Beautiful! The weather there this time of year looks amazing! Only time I've been at that elevation was in a plane.

Mosquito was my second favorite trail in Colorado right behind red cone. It’s crazy nice up there and easy enough to do alone. Reminds me of the type of stuff I did every weekend in high school.
Get on out here! Budget time for the San Juan’s if you like old mining areas (that’s my favorite spot in CO).

How are you feeling about the tires after that trip? Do you think the tread block was due to the terrain or tires (or something else)?

It's hard to say if the tread peeled off because of my cutting creating a weakness or if I made them too grippy from the cutting. Either way the Patagonias are a crap tire. For the way people talk about them, they should work better than they do and should not require cutting to make perform better than a Duratrac.
I'm glad you got a good deal on those and needed new tires, but they definitely don't seem like a well performing tire. Thanks for being the honest tester for them - there's nothing but praise many places about them...
Not that I'm a fan of those tires, nor have I used them, but in the tire's defense, you Mt. goats are pretty tough on your shit.

I was saying recently that I'm reluctant to call myself hardcore. Maybe my perspective is off.
