Here's more from today!
Top of the hill was 13,044ft. The valley down below was 11,200ft. Steep rocks and cliffs the whole way down.

It was getting scary being that high up and that exposed at the top. It's a feeling that doesn't hit me very often. Today it did. Racing down the shelf road at 25mph to catch up to rest of you was fun, though.

I'm imagining the 4 Jeep long train we could have had going down the switchbacks. Along with our wrong turn down a dead end!

Beautiful country, my daughter currently attends CSU, so one day I hope to drive out there in my Jeep and partake on a few of those trails...
