Rock lights are wired up. They need some attention after the new fenders and few failed connections. But at least they are mostly working again after the Carling switch in the air vent gave up some time ago.

... distractions like side mirrors. A few days ago @JMT showed off the motorcycle bar end mirrors he is testing. I decided to do the same.
Frame looks to be in good shape.

The idea behind eliminating the body mounted CJ style mirrors I made a long long time ago is that they get in the way of rocks and trees too often.
With the sliders and corner armor having been installed far too late, I don't want to be careful to avoid the mirrors anymore. And I want mirrors.
These motorcycle mirrors hang off of the GraBars. I made a couple changes to mine by disassembling and flipping the hinge to allow the mirror to fold the opposite direction. This lets me attach to the horizontal section of the handle.
I used irritation hose to make a shim to fill the gap between the handle and the clamp.

These are adequate. They will never be as good as a larger mirror or one that is outside the body. Losing the ability to see the rear corners is unfortunate. But they work. I had no trouble driving around town or on the highway last night and today.

Glad to see you have the right side mirror adjusted appropriately where you aren't looking down the side of the vehicle.
The rear view has that area cover. Too many people don't set up mirrors right and have terrible blindspots...
The convex feature is what makes them “adequate” in my opinion. Otherwise it would be difficult, nigh impossible, to see sufficient distance to be practical. They “just get me by” but sufficient to where I’m beginning to trust them. It’s taken a few days to start remembering to use them. Nice mount solution.
