In the process of restoring some half doors and I bought a new weatherstrip for them from Fairchild on amazon. The replacement strip has a bunch of pins on it but the one on my door seems to just squeeze into a channel. Is there somewhere I can get the right seal or can I still use the one I have? Link to the one I bought

I had to pull that channel off and drill new holes. My strip came with a template to do it. Someone recently reached out to me and said they got their strip to fit in the channel. I had to remove it regardless to paint it. I didn’t have luck finding one with the channel, I was told (if I remember right) that the channel was from earlier years. I could be wrong on that.

Do you know where I could find a template by chance? Thanks for the info. Seems like you have had all the information I have needed for my half door project lol.

Well, I did the same thing, and someone before me! That’s why we come to this forum, for wisdom, help, BS, and Jeep things. Let me look my order up and see what brand it was.

Here is what I ordered, Crown Automotive, looks to be the same price as what you paid. Getting that channel off and the residue cleaned off was a chore, phew, might as well have been welded on. 😂
