That would be great! I would probably just go straight up on the inside of the tailgate latch instead of going around it like you did (fine cutom work). How are you going to latch it closed?I have extra!!!

I like the pinning idea.I was going to pin it from the side but the sides are tight to the channels and they are very snug so I might not do anything at all.

Nooo you not slow....but the golden gate bridge took 4 years to build , although they cheated as they had a couple more men on the job hahaI’m slow, I’ve been working on it for almost 20 years.

That looks great.Finished the R&D on the tailgate table. Used 1/16” stainless wire rope to support the table on both sides and a quick release pin to hold the table closed against the tailgate.
