Sharpening drill bits isn't hard to do on a bench grinder, so I've never seen the need for a specific drill bit sharpener. You start with the cutting edge against the wheel, at the proper 118° angle. Once the edge is cleaned up, roll the bit away from the edge. Takes some practice, but once you learn, it's easy.

I bought a Drill Doctor years ago and find it useful. My machinist friends tried to show me how sharpen with a bench grinder, but I'm a slow learner. It won't bring back a bit that has a broken tip.

X2 to using the grinder. I do how ever like the drill Dr for smaller bits. Don’t own one but bring in bits to work to sharpen every now and then.

Another vote for bench grinder. It doesn’t have to be perfect. What I do is grind down the relief farther then needed, then sharpen the cutting flutes, leaving the flats around 1/16 or 1/8 depending on drill size. Cuts better and faster with the relief ground down. See pic.

Yeah screw that. I am NOT good with having to do stuff like that manually. It'd end up looking like it came out of the sink disposal. I have a Drill Doctor for bits & a Work Sharp for my knives. They're awesome.

Big bits are easier... Eyeball the angle, it was put on correctly once, you just have to follow it.

Yes bigger bits are easier but the smaller ones dull more often. Drill Doctor is great but small bits don't cost very much. It all comes down to how do you use the bits.
