Been lurking around for a couple of months reading and attempting to get a plan together for a 97 Sahara rehab.
I've wanted to rehab a Jeep since the mid 90's. Never got around to it until now.
I'm going to take possession in mid to late Oct. It's been sitting for at least 5 years since a transfer case blowout. The xcase has been replaced, but I'm told there will need to be rewiring due to the blowout damage. The owner has a new wiring harness ready to be installed. I'm sure I'll need to rebuild or install a new front driveshaft since that's probably what caused the xcase blowout in the first place.
Aside from a few belts, plugs, starters, and an alternator I know nothing about fixing autos. Everything I know I've learned from reading here and watching YouTube videos the last few months.
Here's a few pics of the beast. Let me know what you see.
