Flashing front locker light

Yeah, I’d pull the fill plug and try and push the ring towards the drivers side, that’ll take 2 minutes, but I think you’re fine to drive it.

I agree with Josh, you should be fine. I would plan on replacing it (it's one of those things on my list too). I am going with ARBs.

Only 2 lockers had problems in Sand Hollow and they were both e-lockers. You already have the compressor.

My e-locker was an "easy" fix. I took apart my relay box and center console dash panel and checked continuity and voltage until I discovered a connector had come loose out of my relay box's fuse terminal.

Personally, I like the E-Lockers in concept but it’s hard to argue with the reliability of ARB’s. In Adam’s situation, since he already has a compressor, I think it’s a no brainer.

If the factory JK E-lockers I’m running ever fail, I’ll have a decision to make since I don’t have the compressor, but I’m still leaning towards ARB’s. Their track record is pretty stellar.

Also the wrong time of year for your jeep to be down - please reserve all breakages until the winter in the future.

I assume there will be some sales in July too, which I should plan for...

Meh, money better spent towards more power. “If that’s part of your end goal”

Good call, I will probably stroke it first since I am stuck in the smog check area for now. I'd love to get over to elbert or el paso, but my better half doesn't have the appetite to get out of town yet (rightfully so since we have elementary aged kids).

After market cover, fill plug was on wrong side so popped the cover. Don’t know enough to know what Im looking at but seems to be a pretty deep groove that shouldnt

Is there any junk in the oil that drained out? The groove could be from the gear installer shoving it in a vice and it spinning while trying to torque the ring gear bolts.

To me in the first pic it almost looks like the weld missed the joint during manufacturing. But that doesn’t look new.

Dude, is that where the fill plug rides? If it's shaving that much metal it could be a problem, some of your teeth look like they're a bit fubar'ed from metal. The sensor is close to where my arrow is for you to look at that specifically. I'd spin the drive shaft a bit to check the whole circle, but the locker is pretty clearly disengaged- so I would not be super concerned about that part.

nothing stuck to magnet and oli looks ok. I've never popped the case on this, only drained and filled through plugs so dont know if thats new or old

The front locker has a welded seam there, so I think the gouge marks are from a vice when the gears were installed.

Adam, did you use any cleaner or solvent? The residue on some of the teeth and the circular drag patterns on the edge of the ring gear are weird. Is that from you turning it with a rag or are those wear marks?

I think the teeth were just a weird glare from light I don’t see any chunks or pitting? The fill plug is on left side not right

I wiped with paper towel

What’s the back side of the fill plug look like since you say it’s on the opposite side?

It’s a G2 cover. I had a mechanic look it over when I bought it and remember him saying something about having to grind cover for clearance. Had this Jeep a few years forgot about that. Grind marks in cover look old
