If savvy’s front bumper doesn’t come back to stock this year I will be looking else where. The options below interest me.
Opinions/Thoughts wanted.

UCF High clearance aluminum

What makes this bumper high clearance when compared to their regular frame width bumper?

Not familiar with the crawltek inferno, do you have an idea how the underside of it is constructed? Looks interesting though.

The motobilt is a close version to the savvy, but it does lack in some design. A shallow deck and no support on the underside for the cross member. I've seen them modified though to work well.

I dont know enough about UCF. What material is the aluminum? Last I recall there was questioning if it was really T6.

The gate keeper is hideous.

No idea how the underside of the crawktek are constructed. Hard to tell from the pictures. I like the inferno over the pyro.

Ucf is 3/16 6061-T6

I like the looks of the Motobilt Crusher Series Front Bumper w/ Grill Hoop & Bull Bar. Though I have an ORO Sway Lock and they mention it won't work with it, so that's a no go.

Make sure whatever you get will work with the sway lock or anti-rock if you want to be able to add those.

I do like the looks of that UCF Ultra-High Clearance.

I like the grill hoop&bull bar on the crusher bumper but I feel like the bumper itself is too bulky and wish they could have added a hoop&bull bar to their stubby front bumper.

For a hoop&bull bar ill choose genright

The Crawltek Inferno is the closest to what I did to remake my Motobilt stubby into something resembling the Savvy design. Like Savvy, CT has a full depth winch deck that uses the stock sway bar bolt holes to create a large frame gusset. I would fully enclose the rear most pair of holes. What I don't see is if they have a lip under the bottom of the bumper that supports against the frame tube crossmember. But that is easy to add.

And the stupid fireball monkey logo needs to go away.

If I were buying today with the intent to improve an existing steel bumper, the Inferno would be high on the list.

The MB Crusher with all those holes is going to crush and deform on the rocks if it is going to be used as a ramp. They chose an accurate name for it.

GenRight isn't using 6061t6. We know this because the bends are too tight. I have also seen one tear at the corner very easily on a rock.

The Wizard Works bumper is ugly.

Crawltek inferno is more than likely going to be my choice second runner up is motobilt then UCF.

Yup i was thinking about getting that crawltek bumper i know they're a good brand that ive heard of over 2 years

I was also intrested in getting the barnes pritchett canyon bumper or savvys/genrights bumper but after seeing right now yalls opinions on them being weak im now leaning on the crawletek with their ugly lil branding but i can get past that by welding over it but id rather not.....or just go with the Barnes pritchett canyon bumper and call it a day :D since that is what i run on my diesel gladiator and i like it
Note
(you can see the barnes bumper on the JT thats on my profile pic and my LJ as well 😇)

As was said, the UCF high clearance bumper wouldn't be one of my choices either. It lacks a number of desirable features, including not taking advantage of all the available mounting bolts. As seen here, you get two up top on each side.

All those exposed welded sharp corners at the sides of the UCF lost the heat treat. The Savvy design was formed the way it is to reduce the amount of welds. Then the hardcore corners are there to reinforce the welded corners. The corners were intended to be a non-optional part of the bumper, not an extra add on.

As much as i like the simplicity of that bumper wich i like.....it may be too simple wich of that being the features as mentioned !
still nice but im realizing the features on it more and more from this thread
Always like reading up on things and this forum helps, Helps me learn new things, see new things and ect ! 😄

So is a hole stronger that a slotted hole ? Would the reason be since a slotted hole is bigger and leave wiggle room for it to slide around and make itself bigger ?
Anyways, gotta go to bed take care you guys✌🏼

Pretty much every winch uses the same bolt pattern so there is no reason to make the mount adjustable allowing the possibility of the winch moving under load or flex in the deck which is very bad. As long as the bumper manufacturer makes sure a Warn Zeon fits (they are one of the portliest winches out there) every other winch out there will be fine.
