Getting a new Front drive shaft from Tom woods, I wasn’t able to measure yolk to yolk personally but a buddy measured it and said it was 38” I gave that number to them and they said it seemed off / to short, does anyone know what a stock driveshaft measures to? Or if your set up is similar to mine what is ur length that you got? 98 TJ 3.5” lift, 33” tires, manual trans, 4.0, teraflex 4:1 transfercase, dana30 front. Thanks!

my 06 measured 43 inches yolk to yolk when i ordered a tom woods front driveshaft. they build the driveshaft to your measurement as it seems every jeep is a bit different in length. my 06 is on 33’s with a 3 1/2 inch suspension lift and a 42rle automatic transmission, stock transfer case and dana 30 front axle.

Yea I think they are measuring wrong, sucks I can’t do it myself, they are going to ship me the 38 and if to short they will let me send it back and give the correct one, I just gotta pay $30 to ship back so not horrible

Why can't you measure it? It'd give Tom Wood your jeep information and ask what they think the measurement should be. I'd hate to cost a reputable company money just because my friends don't know how to use a tape measure.

I can’t measure it because my jeep is 3 hours away from me or I would of done it myself

I have a 97,4.0l/ax15/np231. 2.5" lift

I measure roughly 39.5" from yolk to yolk after having my stock driveshaft shortened for a front rubicon Dana 44.

Your friend isn't doing it correctly. You should have 40.5-41"

I believe your right, sucks I can’t measure it until this coming Friday, at least then I’ll get it taken out and be able to measure it easy

Don’t hold me to this but I think I’ve heard in the past that people get their orders fast from either of the top driveshaft companies.

I placed the order Friday afternoon, was told I’d have it Wednesday, if wrong I pay shipping back and will get me the correct one, awesome customer service
