Front recovery point mounting suggestions

I have a 97 TJ 4.0 sport. Stock w/ 31’s. It came with tubular number the nicer expensive stainless ones that are sealed and don’t rust. I’d like to keep them. The tubular part blocks tow hook points. Am I able to mount some shackles (d ring) tow points underneath? Suggestions for how to mount please. For the rear I just use the hitch adapter with d ring. No serious off road.. lighter trails and dunes.

That bumper design appears to completely block any reasonable way to mount tow hooks or D-rings which must be bolted to the frame.

I don't have an answer about where to put tow hooks but I hope they end up far enough away from that bumper that whatever strap or cable you're getting pulled with doesn't dent it.

Assuming you are able to install some tow hooks into the frame (the two screw version with the squarish base), I bet if you ever needed a pull you could get away with using a small 2-3' tree saver strap attached to both hooks. That way the line pulling you would pull the tree saver forward where it's clear of the bumper. Make sense?

If you feel like the bumper is securely fastened, all you would need is a soft shackle to wrap around the short tube sections. Although it might dent. You could also wrap a soft shackle (or strap) around the frame and then feed it through the tubes so it sticks out the front.

I've also seen hooks bolted and/or welded to the outside of the frame.
