Front track bar thingy??

'Project Jackass" is killing me. I had to cut the rusty ****** ******* ***** ** **** bolt on the front passenger side of the track bar to get it off. Now of course to replace it, I have to find the piece that sits inside the bracket. The triangular shaped doo-mah-hickey with the nut welded to it.
Anybody know what it's called or where to get it?

Please forgive me, this thing is melting my brain. I can probably find a way to mount it without it, but if I ever have to get off again, this wrangler will make me pay.
It hates me.

I just take my dremel to the opening for that "triangular shaped doo-mah-hickey" and cut it open more in order to fit a regular box end wrench on the new nut that replaces it.

The flag on the nut makes it a little easier to tighten but it's possible to use a flagless nut there and hold it for tightening with just a combination open-end/box-end wrench. I've had to do that a few times so I know it can be properly tightened without the flag on the nut.

That is a 10mm bolt but it has to have at least a 10.9 rating at a minimum with a 12.9 being even better. Wish I knew about that long ago. I would just cut it open, put wrench to the nut, and tighten with a ratcheting wrench. It worked just fine but Blaine's NUTS would've made it easier.

I tried doing it that way today, but the angle, the cramped space and the idiot holding the wrench (me) couldn't keep the nut in place long enough to get the bolt started.
I'll try it again, might try to cut the opening a little.

Or I'll just pony up the dough and call it good. Can't work on it again til next Saturday so waiting for the part won't hurt anything.

Are you referring to the OEM front axle side flag nut perhaps?

Edit- forum just showed me one post and then after I replied, I get to see the rest. Regarding the price, I get a good discount at the dealer when I buy a lot of a single part. If I buy 25 flag nuts at a time, I pay over 13 bucks each for them.

You have to position the trackbar so it's neutral and you can spin the bolt with your fingers as well as push it through the bracket. Push the nut up inside the mount and hold it against the hole with the end of your finger. Push the bolt in and you will feel it hit the hole in the nut, keep pressure on the nut and spin the bolt to start it in the nut. To tighten, slide the open end wrench in from the driver's side through the little rectangular window at the side of the bracket and use that to hold the nut. Don't use the box end because typically the bolt is long enough to trap the wrench because it gets to close to the axle tube to remove it.

Good point. Hadn't thought of that. It would look a little silly riding around with a wrench hanging out of it. Probably noisy too.

I ordered the part from a Mopar outfit. They sent me an email today demanding my VIN (which I did not supply) before they would ship.
