Getting a 2 inch lift

I can’t stand the gap :) So I fixed it. My raised Hanson rear bumper covers the back almost entirely and the front is going to be covered with a custom front bumper/winch.

I compromised and went with a 0.5" BL. The butt crack is tolerable.

I can understand. What did the 0.5” BL end up letting you do? Besides some tire clearance. I’m pretty sure I could do the savvy belly up with just a bunch of tub mods and no BL - but it would be a tonnn of work. And that rules out mid arms.

LOL, I guess my thinking on this, would be...... I can finally clean my bumper under the darn spare tire with out having to open the tailgate! :D

It gave me just enough clearance for my pizza cutter 33" spare to clear my rear bumper, and added some clearance for my 1" raised t-case skid. Also made my t-case linkage happier when I added a MML.

Plus you can clean the top of the frame and get mud out of places you didn’t know it was :) when I stuck my hand into the rear crossmember I found some bolts and a ring!

Your more than welcome to head over to my house to install the lift. I've done a few now if you need any help.

I may take you up on that offer! I'll let you know. My hubby wants to go talk to the 4x4 guys at a shop near us first. I did mention taking it to your place and he wasn't against the idea. We would basically need help with getting things centered again.

Of course this won't be till after July. I told him I wasn't going to buy the lift till after I got back from my cruise. I hate when I say things to try to convince him to let me get one, then regret the tactics I took to do it. LOL

I am going to get the BL and MML now though. :D I told him that wasn't part of the actual suspension lift. LOL :D

Sweet! It’s not which makes it nice and easy to install...plus convince :)

I'd be glad to help. Like I said I've installed a few lifts before, 2 on my own jeep and helped @tomtaylz with his. I have all the required tools so you wouldn't need to bring anything. I spent loads of time cycling my own suspension so I have a fair amount of experience with that as well.

Don't forget a MML on my TJ. You da man!

This is awesome! Now I have to come down and meet all of you this summer when we do her lift :) Maybe you all can help me tackle the mid arm install lol

Just following your lead on being helpful. Also, it's a lot nicer on the wallet to help others. I still get the satisfaction of working on a jeep but don't need to shell out any money. Win win.

That would be awesome. I'm sure we could find some fun trails to go on. After listening to northwest jeep cast I really want to make it up to oregon and go to Tillamook.

How tough of trails do you run generally? If the southern crew came up we could run Breitenbush Lake :)

I can help :) You want to tuck and stuff that gas tank/transmission skid in the future right?
I’m not opposed when the money is right, looking for a bit more clearance is all right now. I kind of like the 1” of suspension and 1” of body combo.

Already running the 1” H&R springs and have the Rancho RS5000x 0-2”.

Those toyotas are no joke. Especially when they have a marlin transfer case in them.

Seriously. They all bob and exterior cage them to keep off the trees up here. If I had more Toyota buddies who’s whole goal wasn’t to full throttle up rocks I’d go with them :) and they hate on jeeps because they have to solid axle swap theirs
