Grab Bars and Handles

I want to get some get some Grab Bars, not the Grab Handles, unless someone is favorable toward the handles. I though of handles for the back where my kids crawl over the side, so I want to know what's the best handle, but for the front grab bars to keep out of the way. I saw some grab bars at Allen's Offroad, $86. Any other suggestions. Most are for JK's. I need for TJ!

Synergy has a version as well.

I have no experience with either Grab Bars or Synergy's .
The Synergy ones connect at both ends, so maybe they're stronger. But I'm sure either would have no issues with just supporting the weight of someone trying to get in.
Might just come down to aesthetics and/or availability/price.

I have the handles, and would prefer a more solid bar that doesn't slide around. Or I should say, I think my much shorter gf would prefer it. Especially when I remove the stock side footstep and replace it will rock sliders...

I think I'll be in the market for something similar this summer, so I'm curious on other people's opinions too.

Just want to update this in case anyone comes across it in a search. I installed the Synergy Grab Bars a few days ago, and I wasn't impressed. They attach to the front windshield frame using one of the T40 Torx bolts that secure the sport bar. That was okay, but I would have preferred it to attach to both bolts. However, the second attachment point to the sport bar itself was just an aluminum J-hook. Even after tightening everything up, it sill moved around based on the design. I also would have had to come up with a different option for the roll bar padding since it requires you to cut up the OEM stuff, which I don't have, and it wouldn't work with the padding that I do have.

So that leaves us with the Grab Bars at Allen's unless someone can give us some more help!

Very good info - I'm definitely not interested in cutting up my roll bar padding.
I'd prefer to keep the OEM padding, plus the current nylon grab handles currently hanging there - in addition to a grab bar near the windshield.

I have the Bartact paracord grab handles. They are strong and sturdy, they do not move around whatsoever, even with my roll bar padding removed. They come in many color combinations, and I am extremely happy with them. My wife and son use them every time when entering and exiting the Jeep. They are fairly expensive, but I believe they are worth it, as they are exactly as advetised.

I made my own custom grab handles out of a 1' section of 3/8 chain dipped a few times in Plastidip. I then looped a piece of nylon strapping over the roll bar and secured it with bolts through the ends of the chain. Everyone that gets into my Jeep asks where I got them.

These attach with the two bolts that the sport bar attaches to the windshield frame with. Very solid.

I've got one of the Velcro version handles right in that location, just for something to hold on to when I am driving...problem is, I often hit my head on that when jumping into the Jeep. I imagine hitting my head on a piece of chain right there would be memorable...glad that works for you, though.
