Help me find a Jeep

OP stated price range is around $10K, so while a very nice TJ, this might be considered an arm and a leg...

Very nice, though, as you state. A Jeep from NM would indeed be rust free.
It's crazy how prices can be so different from state to state, region to region. I'm sure that NM with it's dry weather has a ton of rust free Jeeps at a good price.

All the time. Mine was an exception, though. Rubicon, stock, dual tops, 18k miles, like new, $16.9k. I jumped on it the day I discovered it.

got some pics from the seller on the "rust", thoughts?
Ask him for body mount pics to see if they are rusted through. Thats the first thing I looked at when I was in the market, rusted through body mounts, I walked away and on to the next one. If there in good shape then look at other rust issues. I repaired my minor rust issues and I'm not body guy, but take on challenge anytime.

Hi All - I need some experts to help me find a suitable Jeep. Looking for a 2000 to 2006 TJ with less than 125k miles, 4.0L, auto or manual is OK, prefer Sport, Sahara or Rubicon, some decent mods would be nice - wheels/tires, 2" to 3" lift, minimal rust. The perfect truck!

Price range is around $10K - anyone have any buddies that have something available?

This has been on CL for 27 days. I would bet there is a fair amount of room for negotiation on his asking price.

2001 Jeep wrangler

condition: excellent
cylinders: 6 cylinders
drive: 4wd
fuel: gas
odometer: 101000
paint color: yellow
title status: clean
transmission: manual
type: SUV

Hard top, a/c, cruise control, power steering, 4.0 litre 6 cylinder, hard top and bikini top, 3" lift, newer tires, tow package, runs and drives perfect. $12,000 obo.

I like the desert sand color and the tan top. Highland motors typically sells jeeps in good condition. its not perfect by any means (wear on the steering wheel) but with the mileage and the condition its pretty decent. if there's minimal to no rust underneath then I'd say offer them 11K for it and see what happens. Its also stock, which in my book is a big plus.
