Higher horses, higher revs & even higher torque, a streetable LJ engine swap

I’m sure you’ve already considered it but the motor mount location looks close to those of the Holley kit in the thread on LS1tech. Or at least to my very untrained eye. From instructions for those mounts cut off about same portion of existing mount as you suggested and use it to locate the new mounts. Granted this all me reading instructions and looking at pictures as I don’t have skills to fabricate a cup holder.

There's 4-5* of slope — nose up. But the left side is also hanging lower than the right side with the Atlas hanging.

I wish they actually had a picture of what that steering kit includes...
I used that Red Rock kit, but this is the closest thing I have to a picture of what comes with it. It’s not much, but it worked. I think it included this bracket, a longer intermediate shaft, and a heim joint which bolts to the taller bracket. It basically moves the first u-joint closer to the fire wall, and therefore raises the shaft up and out from the header.

Having formerly owned a Camaro ZL1 (2015), I must say that you sir are nuts.

In a good way ;)

I actually talked to the guy who designed the Holley/Hooker kit and he didn't think it'd work for me even though it's close.

And cup holders are hard to design!

So does it basically come straight off the steering gear? Would sleeving the shaft to extend it do the same thing?

On mine, I added an extra u-joint, heim joint, and mount at the gear, but that is because I stretched the front end and positioned the steering gear flat when I did the 3-link. Ultimately, that also helped me clear the headers when I did the Hemi. If memory serves, RR’s kit still goes straight into the steering gear - but I’m not 100% sure. I think sleeving and extending the intermediate shaft would do the same thing, but you do need to build a higher mount to raise the upper part of the shaft and support the shaft at that u-joint.

Since it stopped coming with wizard engraving

I have at least 5 parts from The Wizard on my Jeep. Can anyone name them? (Only 4 are currently on the Jeep.)

Everything Savvy has been removed, hacked apart, and/or customized at this point.

my recollection is so horrible.............i remember an HA fitting.
i been mindin my manners on this thread 85% is over my head.

you say the steering riser has to go up and out some to get around the header?
and i hope the site tube on the atlas is only finger tight it's showin a drip.

Some dumdum at AA never tightened it down and they must have put some fluid in it because it started leaking once it got put up at an angle.

Well hopefully they engraved their name with the correct spelling.
