I have a 97 jeep tj. The previous owner painted the interior half door panels and does anyone have any ideas on how to get the paint off and return it to the natural color?

Pictures would help...might be able to get it off with cutting compound and a buffer of you're talking about over spray.

Stripper, but be careful. I've used it on my door panels when I messed up a paint job. But, stripper on plastic can be unpredictable. I suggest removing one panel, and apply the stripper for a few couple minutes and monitor it. Wear gloves and if the plastic starts to get soft, wash off the stripper with soap and water. I didn't have a problem with ot and my panels look brilliant.

Before going the chemical stripper route, I suggest trying lighter methods first. Not knowing how well the painter did the job, this paint might simply scrub off with soapy water and a stiff brush. After that, you could try applying a little heat via hair dryer on high, or heat gun on low.

I’d slather original go jo on it and put in a trash bag.

Then an electric pressure washer or stiff nylon brush to finish it off.

An electric pressure washer is super effective ...might do it alone. It worked for me once.

Avoid sanding.
