How civilized are 35s?

I would never run steel wheels either. Aluminum all the way. I like the Walker Evans / Ultra wheels a lot.

It’s not so much the brand, it’s that they are forged aluminum.

With that analogy... by upsizing her tires... one can assume she would upsize her bf?
When I got fitted for my suit they measured me at 52R.

I may very well be an "upgrade". ;)

So, how much of a lift are we looking at to run 35s and what gearing would my Auto Rubicon need (4.10s currently)? I believe with 33s you folks said 5.38s, how much higher would you need to go for 35s?

5" of lift, 5.38's, Currie steering, Black Magic brakes

5.38 is as low of a ratio as can be installed in the Rubicon axles and that's definitely what you want for 35's with your 4-speed automatic transmission. Just so there's no confusion in ratio-speak, 5.38 is a lower ratio than 4.88 is.

I think it looks ok. Those are 35” KM2s. I have a 2.5” lift, 1.25” BL, 3/4” spacers up front because of the winch. Stock gears 4.10s, and stock brakes. I haven’t noticed any significant powerloss and this will be debated I’m sure, but you don’t have to throw the steep gears with big brakes on. It can be driven the way mine is setup.

I really like the look of your Jeep, Chris. I'm surprised that a 4" will work for 35s when you have to have a 4" to make 33s work.

You don’t have to have 4” to make it work. If your jeep is mainly on road 3.75” is more than enough. I had 33s on that same setup before I put 35s in there. I changed nothing to the suspension and I still have plenty of clearance. I had way too much fenderwell showing with 33s.

I think your Jeep is perfectly proportioned. That's how I want mine to look.

I like the stance now. As soon as the lift and 33s were on it originally I hated how much room there was. I knew right away I should have trusted my gut and went with 35s to begin with. I listened to too many opinions and got spooked lol.

Like @jjvw always says, you want to maintain stock suspension travel, around 4-5" up and about the same down depending on shocks, at a minimum. It does not seem likely that 3.75" of lift and 35's would be able to maintain that travel. If it is a pavement pounder then it would probably work. Just bumpstop out travel until the tires stay out of the fenders.
