IAC needs replacing?

Does the 04 have the schrader valve on the fuel rail?

No damn it. I added the fuel pressure gauge that Mr Blaine suggested. So did @macleanflood. Let’s you know what’s going on.

Wishing you had checked that back on March 7?

Good job on finding the issue....you gonna replace it yourself and bring this whole thread full circle?

@TJ Jim @hear , uh, im pretty new to this. older motorcycles are more my speed and im a clutz at that. I watched a video of replacing the intake gasket and one for replacing the fuel module and yeah, thatll take me a while. if i could even do it. I had 2 Honda CB 750s, and cb550 and now down to my last CL 360 scrambler. Jets and carbs are probably the level I cant get past. thanks for the vote of confidence, but Im a mechanical idiot.🫤

Carbs are a dark art. Replacing a fuel pump is just unbolting & rebolting stuff. Honestly most repairs on our TJs just require the willingness to start & the patience to not snap bolts and/or give up when it seems difficult. Very little requires a whole lot of actual skill.
