Interior spray in liner

Thinking of stripping the carpet from the interior and using a spray-in liner to coat the entire tub. I'm looking for any advise or recommendations of products, specifically products you have used. I'm considering using a liner with color if I can find any.

U-POL Raptor liner tintable works awesome and holds up well. How well it does will all depend on your prep work. I am considering doing my whole exterior this spring it worked so well

doing my whole jeep in black raptor body off now getting ready to put it on the rotisserie and sandblast bottom and entire inside then assemble and spray outside of entire body if i could figure out how to post pictures i would but im a bit of a luddite (hates fucking computers barely proficient with this phone)

I used herculiner in my YJ, but for my TJ I will use monstaliner.... just have to decide on what color to use

I used Monstaliner. They have many "canned" colors and tintable ones. Be warned, it will be noisier without the carpet, but I suspect most of us don't drive them for the sound quality.

I used to work for Line-X and we did Jeep tubs all the time.
First. I recommend not doing it. Let’s more heat in. If your shoes are wet/muddy/snowy the floor will be slick. It’s a bitch to clean unless you hose out the Jeep. And most off the shelf liners look horrible.

Second of you insist on it. I would have a professional shop do it. Like Linex-X. Yes it’s more expensive. Yes you can do it yourself but not to the level the pros can. Also, there is a reason why you can’t buy Line-X at auto zone or Walmart. And Line-X can be sprayed in any color and has a lifetime warranty.

Another option would be spray the floor and reinstall the carpet. That way you get the best of both worlds.

Agreed. I had my TJ Line-X'd, then to save money used Herculiner in an old Cherokee. The Herculiner was OK for $150 and lots of work to apply it, but doesn't compare to the $650 Line-X. If you can afford it, that's the way to go, if not, you can get acceptable results with a do-it-yourself product. I put the carpet back in after the Line-X and the interior was super-quiet.

This is why I don’t like DIY liners. They don’t look good all. Very messy, not consistent and thin.

I just picked the TJ up a few weeks ago. The previous owner must have loved having animals with him as the carpet smells rich of wet dog with just a little humidity in the air. Its an 02 and wanted to seal the tub to keep rust away. Right now I haven't found any but may be a different story when I remove the carpet. I didn't consider the heat as that would be a issue in Florida summers. Thanks for the heads up.

ACC is going to be an as-good-as or better-than OEM replacement depending on what you buy. I went with the upgraded ACC mass backed Essex line. It is super plush and quiets the cab considerably. Bed rug/ bed tread is best used in wet or damp environments as it isn't as thick as regular carpet and doesn't hold moisture as much as carpet would.
