Jeep dealer service

I've seen plenty of stories about Jeep dealerships denying warranty work due to modifications (as in owner has to pay), but never a dealer refusing to work on a vehicle period due to mileage/lack of service history at THEIR shop. Whacked. I'd chase that up the corporate ladder for sure.
Yep, not doing warranty is one thing (which I can understand from their perspective) - but just flat out saying they won't work on it because it is of a certain age or mileage is definitely not something I would call even close to normal.

I would really just say not to deal with them at all - I don't think i would trust them at this point.
Call corporate and let them know, then find someone you can trust.

So I contacted corporate this morning. I gave them the dealer information. She said that corporate doesn't tell dealers to limit their service by time and or mileage and was very sorry. They will be doing an investigation into the complaint. She did say they can refuse service based on aftermarket parts. However, in this case we never talked about the vehicle beyond the year. They knew nothing about it at the dealership. Corporate knew what it was by the last eight of the vin. I told her I'm disappointed that I don't have Jeep to back my Jeep. I will be doing it myself or going to independents for things I can't do. If something really tough comes up, I can't go to my local Jeep dealer for a Jeep certified mechanic. Our next closest would be about 50 miles or so from here. Assuming they don't do the same. It's quite the tow should it be an issue I can't diagnose. I may or may not hear back from corporate, but she assured me they would be looking into it.

Good for you and I'm glad you contacted corporate. Jeep needs to know if the dealerships are supporting their products.
