Colorado Krew Hangout

last season was a trip, all these denver Califorado peeps were complaining, oh where is our 60* January days gone.

dumbass it’s winter. in the mountains? why would you want a 60* day

On some of my winter treks this past season the absolute lack of preparedness was insane to me. "It's May and it was warm in town so I expected the trails to be clear and brought nothing but base layers and sandals". No we are gonna have snow up here for at least 2 more months. I went tubing at Echo with some family and it was hilarious. Everyone from the east was dressed straight out of dumb and dumber.

I got a Jeep day as a b-day present, so I'm heading up tomorrow with the wife. Not sure the route but probably Red Cone/Webster, maybe Swan River, maybe Breck. Probably not Radical Hill; my rig isn't built for that I think, especially not being in a group. We'll be on the trails from ~0730 to ~1330.

If anyone happens to be around the area, I'll keep a look out for you! I'll have a cheap 2-way radio with me.

After Red Cone, 3 out of 4 of my ABS sensors decided to go bad. I finally got them replaced. Where are we going next?

Jeeptober I imagine falls on October 7 and 8. That will likely be my next and last outing for the year:(

At least it doesn't have a Texas plate🤣😂

Arkansas temp plate according to the article😅

Those are the fucktards that make land managers shutdown areas. I hope they get charged for the recovery and fined.

Yeah...Seems silly to continue and not think about turning around, or at least begin to question the 'road' you're on.

Yeah I completely get that people make mistakes sometimes and we shouldn't always be too judgmental, but this is just plain stupidity. I have no idea if CO 4x4 Rescue ever will charge for recovery. I'm much more familiar with the people side of SAR and I know that all Colorado MRA teams have a policy to absolutely never charge for rescue, but no idea what the 4x4 rescue teams policy's are.
